Damiana is a shrub native to Central America that acts both antiasthmatic and gently induces a higher level of attention. Now if we were to tell you that in Mexico it is also known as an aphrodisiac that allegedly makes you want to rapidly “slip your shirt off”, well, wouldn’t that take your breath away?

KALÊ GINGER

6 cl Kalê
1 cl Ginger Juice (freshly squeezed or puréed using a hand blender and filtered)
sprig of mint

Put all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake well. Remove sprig of mint.
Fill up with the same amount of soda water and garnish with mint.

We will probably never know if the golden citrus fruit truly was responsible for the eternal youth of the ancient Greek gods. What we do know, however, is that Yuzus’ tangy, aromatic, yet slightly bitter juice adds a lot of freshness to Kalê.
